1st Day of School

Well actually it's the second, but I had every intention of writing this yesterday, so let's just pretend. David had his first day of his second year of teaching! He said the difference between last year and this year is huge! That first year is a killer. You don't know what you're doing, you want to do your best and kids can smell fear - it's just so hard! But your second year is always so much better!

Last year David taught government, economics, geography, and Biblical ethics. This year, he'll be teaching U.S. history, world history, Biblical ethics, and (drumroll please!) strategy games. He's really excited about all these classes! He'll also have the same group of guys in his homeroom. Homeroom is time for a short devotion before the day begins. David was just telling me how he really desires for this to be a time that his students really grow in their love for Jesus. I'm praying that the Lord really works in their hearts too.

This also is my second day at home with Beckett with no help. And this is what he's been doing.

This is one of very few days that he has been really fussy. So I can't complain! :)

Grandma loves you Beckett! I sure miss that little cry!

It's kind of like he has one of his little eyes open a little to make sure you are there and watching. Funny (for me, anyway).
